Summer

Summer competitive rowing at LWRC allows ambitious, and dedicated U23 and Senior athletes to compete at multiple regattas over the summer break while training full time on the water. Athletes are strongly encouraged to participate in all regattas in which the club attends. U23 and Senior athletes are allowed to practice at times that work for them, so long as club rules are followed and equipment is available. May 1 - 1st week of August

Monday-Friday 5:15am-7:30am, Saturday 7am-11am

Full-year

LWRC offers a full year membership to those who are dedicated to train year-round and are excited about the commitment to the sport of rowing. This membership is best for those who know they will present for both the summer and fall competitive seasons. In addition, this membership gives year-round access to our indoor rowing facility. April 1 - March 31 following year.

Fall

Fall competitive rowing at LWRC continues the build off of the success in the summer program. LWRC attends multiple regattas throughout the fall season to support dedicated junior athletes and give the most opportunity possible to them. U23 and Senior athletes are allowed to participate in regattas that the club does not officially compete at. Please contact the club captain or club manager for this special request. Recreational Rowing and Learn to Row

Recreational Rowing

LWRC offers recreational rowing in addition to competitive rowing, the program is offered only at scheduled times which are listed below. Recreational rowing is for rowing enthusiasts and those who are eager to continue building their passion for their newfound sport, but who do not wish to compete. Recreational rowing is a casual and social program, which is supported by our coaching staff. Boatings in this program are mixed-gender and LWRC will give rowers as much breadth in the positions of the sport during this program. New members of the recreational rowing program will continue to join throughout the program’s length, as these new members complete learn-to-row programs and graduate to recreational rowing.

Program outline:

11 Week, continuous program, Starting May 15 and ending August 30.

Tuesday, Thursday 5:00-7:00pm and Sunday 9:00am - 11:00 am

Learn-to-Row

LWRC offers learn-to-row programs for both Junior and Senior students. This 5-day summer program spans over two weeks. In this program students learn the basics of rowing, from bow to stern, and finish to catch, on the water at Lake Fanshawe. After completion of this program, students are able to join recreational rowing immediately if they choose. Learn-to-row or high school rowing programs are mandatory for for all new athletes who wish to compete for the club in the summer or fall competitive seasons. May 15 - August 30
